My "little" brother, Alex, graduated from high school today. I'm not hormonal, but when I saw all those kids marching out of their holding chamber and onto the court at Xavier U's Cintas Center, I got the wee-est bit choked up. It only gets better kids. Tougher, crazier and more real. And so much bigger.
And holy!!! He was just dressing up in my mom's high heels, and begging for lipstick. And now, here he is, all passing over into this new stage, and joining the Air Force.
We were nothing but honored to host the (Dad-funded) celebratory meal, complete with Filet Mignon and sushi and muhammara and these horrible, obnoxious and completely unnecessarily decadent Marshmallow Crunch Brownie Bars.
Sweet.

He might not be going in the Airforce with the "highheels" and "lipstick" comment..
Ha! I thought every boy goes through a transvestite phase.
oy, I don't remember any high heels and lip stick!!! lol kinda unfair bringing up stuff from when I was to little to even remember, especially when it was probably your influence haha
I would never instigate any such thing :)
Love the pictures, especially the first one. It made me laugh out loud. Congratulations!
Oh, and I just made muhammara a few days ago. I love it!
Eralda- did you use pomegranate molasses in your muhammara? I didn't have it, and I think it really missed it.
