Once upon a time, Brady and I lived in a cardboard box nailed to the side of a mountain. We had bears and bobcats and mountain lions for neighbors. We were told we would have heat. We were lied to. We spent many a mountain night toting our space heater from living room to bedroom to bathroom. I turned the oven on and opened the door.
It was ugly and it was cold. But somehow, we kept it warm.
Although I might be an indie cliche (but I did not love Garden State), and maybe it's not for you, but Away We Go made me laugh really hard and cry a tiny bit. And so if you want to laugh (attempts to raise the baby's heart rate) and maybe cry (but only at the part where Verona asked Burt if they were f-ups), then add it to your list.

i didn't like garden state either. i'm excited to see this one, though! is it out on video already?
No- we actually went to the theatre! Not sure when it comes out on video.
sigh...
we had a date one night, a few weeks ago, and over our pizza were trying to decide on a movie. This was one choice, and Goodbye Solo was the other.
I was kind of leaning towards Away We Go, and Alan DEFINITELY preferred it to Solo, but due to timing of the drive and being just the teeniest bit curious, since Solo was filmed in WS and (I believe) the director also from here, or NCSA, we saw Solo....
Afterwards... we both wished we'd done the reverse... Tried to see this the next week and it was gone. But thanks to your reminder I will write it down and look for it, along with Sunshine Cleaners!
I really want to see that one, too (Sunshine Cleaners)- thank you for the reminder!
